With 28 parameters, it evaluates the three main components of blood: red blood cells (which carry oxygen), white blood cells (which fight infection), and platelets (which stop bleeding). Together these reveal an extraordinary range of conditions.
What Each Component Detects
Red blood cells and haemoglobin: Low haemoglobin indicates anaemia — the most common nutritional deficiency in India, affecting 53% of women. The type of anaemia (iron deficiency, B12 deficiency, thalassemia trait) is identified by the size and colour of red cells. White blood cells: Elevated total count suggests bacterial infection; elevated specific subtypes indicate viral infection, parasites, or allergic response; very high white cell counts can signal leukaemia. Platelets: Low platelet count (thrombocytopenia) occurs in dengue, certain viral infections, and autoimmune conditions. High counts can indicate inflammation or, rarely, a bone marrow disorder.
